EVENTS AND FEES

The Miami Beach Bailliage hosts nine dinners each calendar year, each location carefully selected to provide a superior dining experience. In the past year dinners have taken place at Azul, Pascal’s on Ponce, Talula and many other upscale establishments. The price per person, per dinner is between $150 to $160 and includes a champagne reception with hors d’oeuvres followed by a five-course meal, wine with each course and coffee/tea.

The Young Chef Rotisseur or Jeune Commis competition was first held in Switzerland in 1977 to promote future young chefs (under age 27) by providing them with the opportunity to demonstrate their skills. Competitions are held at the regional, national and international level. Each chapter proposes chefs to be nominated by their employers to represent the chapter at the competitions.

L'Ordre Mondial was created to promote the enjoyment of fine wines and crafted beverages and to further one’s knowledge and understanding. The framework of L'Ordre Mondial calls for a combination of both professional and amateur participation, with one of its goals being to provide help, encouragement and support for the young professionals who are to be the best sommeliers of the future. The purpose of the Young Sommelier Competition is to promote the expertise of young wine and spirit professionals and to encourage their acquisition of wine and spirit mastery.

Initiation/Induction dues*...............$ 275
National/International dues........... $ 200 annually
Chapter dues................................. $ 100 annually
*Initiation/Induction dues includes Chaine ribbons and diploma.
